Cessna - Program Updates EASA, CASA, CAAC, TC Approved Cessna Maintenance Courses Most Cessna Maintenance programs have EASA, CASA, CAAC and TC approval. These programs include the Cit. X and X+, Sovereign, Sovereign+, Latitude, 560XL/XLS/XLS+, Cit. 500/550/560, 525A (CJ, CJ1, CJ1+, CJ2+, M2), 525B (CJ3, CJ3+), 525C (CJ4), Mustang, and Caravan. We are currently in the process of obtaining the DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation from India) approval. Citation 560xl Flight Manual

New Cessna Citation 560XL/XLS/XLS+ Advance Troubleshooting Course Available in January, 2016 This course is designed for the maintenance technician wanting to expand their knowledge of normal system operation, enhance troubleshooting skills, refine decision making abilities, and sharpen their ability to analyze and solve realistic system malfunctions on the aircraft. During the exercises the instructor reviews and monitors each technician’s diagnostic and troubleshooting procedures, offering guidance to help them achieve their highest level of proficiency. New MATRIX technology, simulations of aircraft systems and actual OEM Publications provide operationally oriented maintenance tasks that allow the technicians to work at their own speed while providing 'hands-on' realism during the troubleshooting process. New Cessna Citation 525B (CJ3 and CJ3+) Maintenance Course Now Available This course is designed to meet the training requirements of technicians with limited experience maintaining Cessna Citation CJ3 and CJ3+ aircraft. Maintenance training instructional materials and training manuals are used to teach systems on the Citation 525B (CJ3 & CJ3+).

The course includes component location, normal operation, inspection, service and repair of aircraft systems. Special emphasis is placed on troubleshooting, adjustment, and rigging procedures of the more complex systems. Contact the Learning Center for more information. New Caravan 208 Troubleshooting and OMP (Operational Maintenance Procedures) Courses Now Available Cessna 208 maintenance technicians can now attend these two new courses that are part of the path needed to obtain the Caravan Master Technician certification.

These courses are two days in length and are scheduled back to back making it more convenient for Customers to complete these required courses together in the same training trip. New Cessna Citation Sovereign+ and Latitude Maintenance Course Now Available This new course is designed to meet the training requirements of technicians needing to maintain Citation Latitude and Sovereign+ aircraft. Maintenance training instructional materials and training manuals are used to teach systems on the Citation Latitude and Sovereign+. The course includes component location, normal operation, inspection, service and repair of aircraft systems. Special emphasis is placed on troubleshooting, adjustment, and rigging procedures of the more complex systems.

Single-Pilot Authorization for Cessna 500 Series Aircraft FlightSafety now has its own FAA-authorized training exemption and is included in the Part 142 curriculum. This exemption is valid only for flying in the United States. The check ride can be performed in one of FlightSafety’s Level C or higher simulator and it is no longer necessary to differentiate between the Sierra and Shannon modifications.

Upgrades to Citation X Training Program As part of FlightSafety’s ongoing commitment to providing the best possible training and equipment, the Citation X simulator fleet has been updated. These updates include: Honeywell FMS updated to the NZ 6.0 software load (Wichita, Orlando and Toledo), visual system updates (Orlando and Toledo) and improved electro luminescent lighting and cockpit seating (Toledo). In addition to simulator upgrades, the Citation X Pilot Training Manual has been updated and Memory flashcards have been developed.

VITAL X Brings news Accuracy, Realism to Caravan Training Recent upgrades to the Wichita Cessna Learning Center’s Caravan Level C simulator include the installation of FlightSafety’s revolutionary VITAL X visual display delivering the latest in realistic, detailed, high-resolution views. Combined with state-of-the-art high-resolution projectors, VITAL X reproduces day and night scenes accurately for all kinds of weather. New avionics were also installed to include the Garmin GMX 200 MFD (terrain information), Goodrich Ice Detection light and Garmin GNS 530W (TAWS with WAAS capability). In addition to the new visual system, the Caravan courseware has also been upgraded. This includes a revised panel poster, class room presentations with dynamic slide technology, and a revision of the Caravan Pilot Training Manual which will be completed later this year. CJ4 Training Now Available at the Wichita Cessna Learning Center CJ4's advanced features make it critically important that training take place in a type-specific simulator with courseware keyed to specific CJ4 systems and instructors intimately familiar with the aircraft. Training in Wichita for the CJ4 began in April 2010 and features a Level D certified full motion simulator that faithfully reproduces the CJ4's avionics, systems, cockpit look-and-feel and full flight characteristics down to the smallest nuance.
